Job Description

M/I Homes is a leading homebuilder with a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. As a Title Examiner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of title information for our customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate multi-state title products to provide comprehensive title insurance coverage.
  • Abstract and analyze county records for residential properties in multiple states to determine ownership and encumbrances.
  • Examine title to real property to establish a clear chain of ownership and identify any potential issues.
  • Review title search reports and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Verify ownership and encumbrances of real property to provide accurate title information.
  • Prepare professional reports as required and review them for accuracy.
  • Assist with special projects as requested and perform additional duties as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School graduate and 2 to 5 years' experience in residential abstracting and examining.
  • Ability to work in an accurate, detail-oriented, and highly productive manner.
  • Working knowledge of basic real estate title concepts and legal documents.
  • Strong customer service-oriented individual with good verbal and written communication skills.
  • General administrative abilities, including typing, filing, and use of computer, calculator, copier, and facsimile machines.
