St. Leonard is seeking a skilled RN Unit Manager to join our team. As a Unit Manager RN, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident care while maintaining nursing service objectives and standards of nursing practice.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee higher-risk resident care activities to minimize the potential risk of infection.
- Participate in the facility's QAA Committee and perform duties as assigned.
- Participate in the annual infection control risk assessment process and in the facility's annual facility assessment review process.
- Maintain documentation of infection prevention and control program activities for assigned units.
- Perform activities related to nursing care needs of residents.
- Document in accordance with nursing policies and procedures.
- Maintain effective communication with residents, families, staff, and physicians.
- Effectively use organizational skills in delivery of nursing care.
- Participate in the establishment, implementation, and evaluation of an effective unit performance improvement program.
- Satisfy all educational in-service requirements mandated by CHI Living Communities, the department, external accrediting, and regulatory agencies.
- Associate's Degree from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Long-term care experience preferred.
