Position Overview:
The Legal Process Specialist is responsible for delivering legal documents such as summons, subpoenas, and eviction notices to residents within the jurisdiction. This role encompasses various additional responsibilities as assigned by the department.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver legal documents including summons, subpoenas, and eviction notices to residents.
2. Execute other assigned tasks as required by the department.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to acquire a comprehensive understanding of the policies and procedures of the local government.
- Capacity to represent the local government effectively to the public.
- Proficient communication skills for interaction with colleagues and the public.
- Competence in operating relevant computer systems and basic office equipment.
- Fundamental language proficiency.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
- Minimum of six months of relevant experience or equivalent technical training and education.
Work Environment:
The position does not require unusual physical exertion. The work environment may involve typical risks or discomforts associated with office settings, necessitating standard safety precautions, such as safe practices with office equipment and awareness to prevent trips and falls.
