Barista Team Lead

Sonoma's Best is seeking a skilled Barista Team Lead to excel in our coffee operations. As a Barista Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading our team of baristas, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and consistency in our coffee offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coffee Expertise: Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of coffee beans, brewing methods, and industry trends to ensure consistency and quality in every cup.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in the coffee industry and introduce innovative brewing methods and recipes to the team.
• Conduct regular coffee tastings to ensure quality and consistency.

Team Leadership:

• Train and mentor junior baristas to uphold the standards of Sonoma's Best.
• Foster a positive and collaborative environment among the team.

Customer Experience:

• Engage with customers, educating them about our coffee offerings and helping them discover new flavors and brews.
• Handle customer feedback with grace, ensuring their concerns are addressed promptly.

Operational Excellence:

• Oversee the daily operations of the coffee section, ensuring cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and stock management.
• Collaborate with the management team to set monthly targets and strategies to achieve them.

Product Development:

• Work closely with suppliers to source the best quality coffee beans and related products.
• Collaborate with the merchandising team to introduce new coffee-related products in the store.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Barista, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
• Deep knowledge of coffee beans, brewing methods, and the latest trends in the coffee industry.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Passionate about coffee and eager to share that passion with others.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
