Job Summary

The City of Bridgeton is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Police Officer to join our team. As a Police Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining law and order, protecting the public, and upholding the law.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct patrols to prevent and investigate crimes, and to enforce laws and regulations.
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance to citizens in need.
  • Investigate crimes, gather evidence, and interview witnesses and suspects.
  • Prepare reports and records of incidents and investigations.
  • Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and departments to share information and coordinate efforts.
  • Participate in training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest laws, procedures, and technologies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associates degree or 60 college credit hours from an accredited institution, or three years of experience as a full-time commissioned police officer, or an honorable discharge from the United States military.
  • Ability to obtain a valid driver's license and pass a background check.
  • US citizenship required.
Working Conditions
