We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our production team as a Packaging Operations Assistant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting our packaging operations and ensuring the highest level of quality and efficiency in our production process.
Key Responsibilities- Support General Plant Safety, Food Safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices
- Assist Operators, Line Leads, and Production Supervisors in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment
- Rotate tasks and work areas as needed to ensure smooth production operations
- Pack finished products in designated bags and containers
- Rework products that do not meet quality standards
- Transport finished products to designated areas
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, including sweeping and picking up trash
- Prepare work areas for upcoming products and leave areas ready for the next crew
- Follow all company GMP procedures and protocols
- Support the production team in achieving our quality and efficiency goals
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Basic mechanical aptitude and good math skills are helpful
- Ability to read and interpret written and verbal directions
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED required
This role requires working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with regular exposure to heat, fumes, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors, moving parts/equipment, and non-toxic industrial waste and scrap. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach, lift, grasp, climb, and bend. SLIP-RESISTANT/Steel-toed SHOES, earplugs, safety glasses, hairnets, beard nets (if facial hair exists), and smocks are required to be worn/used in accordance with company GMP and Safety standards.
