Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Treatment Planning

Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their physical, emotional, and cognitive needs. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to address these needs and promote optimal outcomes.

Patient Education and Training

Provide patients and their families with education and training on how to perform daily living activities, manage their condition, and maintain their independence.

Collaboration with Healthcare Team

Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.

Documentation and Communication

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Requirements
  • Education

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

Certifications and Licensure

Current Louisiana OT License and BLS Card required.

Skills and Experience

Excellent written and oral communication skills, rehabilitative experience preferred, and certifications in NDT, metronome, Big and Loud preferred.
