As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) at CMP, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our San Diego Admin Offices 1 - Primary Care setting. This part-time position requires a skilled and compassionate individual to work effectively with the public, demonstrate knowledge of sterile technique, and consistently provide superior and culturally sensitive service to our members, patients, and customers.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine patient care, excluding administration of IV medications and venipuncture, following established policies, procedures, and standards.
- Assist licensed providers with patient examinations and treatments, positioning, restraining patients, and assisting as directed.
- Prepare and transport medical equipment and laboratory specimens, clean and disinfect instruments/equipment according to standardized procedures.
- Initiate and/or complete diagnostic rest forms per provider order, telephone prescriptions to pharmacies, relay medical information from physician to patient, and relay information from patient to physician.
- Chart in patients' medical records as indicated.
- Participate in Department Quality Assurance activities.
- Vocational Nurse License (California)
- Basic Life Support
- Ability to work effectively with the public, demonstrated knowledge of sterile technique, and consistently provide superior and culturally sensitive service.
