L3Harris Technologies is seeking a skilled Satellite and Ground System Operator to support a program in the Missile Defense Agency at Schriever SFB, CO. This position falls within the Space Defense Solutions portfolio in the Space Superiority division in Colorado Springs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure the network ground system to support satellite operations.
- Perform satellite telemetry, tracking, and commanding functions.
- Troubleshoot and solve network and ground system issues.
- Work a 24/7 schedule on the operational floor, coordinating schedules and addressing backup coverage as necessary.
- Assist with the development of training material and training of ground and satellite operators.
- Contribute to the development of operational procedures and checklists to support satellite operations.
- Provide operational inputs to engineer and test teams.
- Attend Daily Operations Stand-up meetings, shift changeover meetings, and contribute to monthly in-progress reviews.
Requirements:
- Requires proficient knowledge of job area, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
- Experience as a Satellite Systems or Ground System Operator, including telemetry, tracking, and commanding.
- Active Secret Clearance.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $74,000 - $138,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
