Job Summary

SPECTRAFORCE is seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and debugging software, including LabVIEW and Python codes, to test input and output signals of electronic boards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Software Development: Develop and debug automation scripts and workflows in LabVIEW and Python to communicate and control with various controllers and test equipment.
  • System Integration: Develop and test LabVIEW/Python scripts to interface with prototype thermal modules, motor drivers, and optical modules.
  • Communication Protocols: Proficient in communicating with various test equipment using diverse communication protocols (Serial, I2C, SPI, etc.).
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Test input and output signals of electronic boards to ensure proper functionality.
  • Documentation and Support: Provide documentation for the designed systems and software, and support internal engineering teams on programming requests.
Requirements
  • Programming Experience: 3-5 years of programming experience in Python and LabVIEW.
  • LabVIEW and Python: 5 years of experience (preferred).
  • Designing and Debugging Test Benches: 2 years of experience (preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's in electrical or mechanical engineering (preferred).
  • Prototype Equipment Bring-up and Control: Demonstrated experience with prototype equipment bring-up and control.
  • Motor Controllers and Thermal Modules: Experience with motor controllers, thermal modules (heaters and TEC) preferred.
  • Communication Protocols: Demonstrated experience in controlling modules with diverse communication protocols.
  • Fast-paced Environment: Experience working in a fast-paced environment and lean strategic teams.
  • Motivated and Curious: Motivated, curious, and open attitude to learn.
