Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Academic ESL Instructor to join our team at Management and Training Corporation. As an Academic ESL Instructor, you will be responsible for providing students with basic direction, instruction, and assistance in designated areas of instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Teaching and Instruction: Provide students with basic direction, instruction, and assistance in designated areas of instruction.
  2. Motivation and Counseling: Motivate and counsel students in areas of behavior, training, personal problems, or study habits; coordinate with other staff as necessary to resolve issues affecting student training.
  3. Lesson Planning: Develop and prepare lessons; recommend curricula changes and supplemental materials.
  4. Workplace Readiness: Utilize workplace language and behavior expectations in the classroom; on a routine basis, relate academic skills to career technical training and workplace requirements; inquire if individual students need assistance.
  5. Compliance and Effectiveness: Review and audit all assigned areas regularly for contractual compliance and effectiveness of delivery of services to students. Prepare related reports.
  6. Classroom Management: Maintain a safe and clean work area that models high standards for a work environment.
  7. Assessment and Evaluation: Administer and correct tests; maintain progress and attendance reports.
  8. Enrichment Programs: Develop and conduct enrichment programs as assigned.
  9. Record Keeping: Maintain records, cleanliness, and classroom discipline.

Requirements:

We are seeking a candidate with a Bachelor's degree and a valid teaching certificate. One year of instructional experience is preferred. Experience with youth, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and computer proficiency are also required.
