About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Apheresis Clinic team at Duke Health. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the advancement of health through innovative therapies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and plan nursing care for patients undergoing apheresis procedures, including therapeutic plasma exchange, leukapheresis, plateletpheresis, and red blood cell exchange.
  • Collaborate with hematologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes.
  • Develop and implement individualized nursing plans, incorporating evidence-based practices and patient-centered care principles.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure informed decision-making and optimal patient satisfaction.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of North Carolina
  • Minimum 12 months of relevant clinical experience, preferably in hematology/oncology or apheresis
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
