Job Title: Building Inspector Specialist

Oconee County is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Building Inspector Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting building construction, renovations, and mobile home installations to ensure compliance with applicable building codes and ordinances.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections of residential buildings, identifying non-compliance with building codes and regulations
- Prepare inspection reports and issue notices of correction as needed
- Provide technical guidance and support to contractors, engineers, architects, and property owners on code compliance requirements
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and follow up on cases to verify corrections

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent and one year of experience in building inspection or a related field
- Valid driver's license and certification as a Residential Building Inspector
- Excellent communication and customer service skills

Salary: $39,819.98 per year, depending on qualifications and experience
