The Center Club is seeking a skilled Baker to join our team. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing all baked goods, including bread and desserts, in a commercial kitchen. You will develop dessert recipes, maintain an inventory of ingredients, and strive to achieve cost-efficiency for the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Measure and mix ingredients to produce bakery products, including bread and pastries, using precise café standards.
  • Ensure correct quantities of baked goods are being produced daily and work with management teams to plan production schedules.
  • Manage the baking environment by maintaining quality presentation, monitoring oven temperature and baking times, and evaluating product against standards.
  • Visually merchandise and display all products.
  • Receive and store inventory, proof/prepare for baking, and bake to ensure the consistency of product.
  • Keep work area clean, organized, and stocked, and responsible for proper sanitation of the work environment.
  • Demonstrate hospitality, respect, and a friendly attitude toward guests and fellow team members.
  • Resolve any problems and keep management informed about issues and problems as they arise.
  • Provide on-the-job training for new bakers (as needed).
  • Perform prep and utility duties as needed/backup when needed.
Requirements:
  • Must be able to use basic food preparation equipment, including large-capacity mixers, ice cream machines, convection ovens, pizza ovens, proofers, and food processors.
  • Ensures that work area is safe and secure.
  • Attention to detail, knowledge of ingredients, and an aesthetic/artistic eye.
  • Adheres to state and local health and food safety regulations.
  • Maintains high standards of quality for all food prepared and served.
  • Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.
