Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Technician to join our team at Ultra Clean Technology Systems & Svc Inc. in Austin, TX. As an Engineering Technician, you will play a critical role in the design and development of our products, working closely with our cross-functional teams to ensure the highest quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Generate accurate and complete manufacturing drawings of products using SolidWorks, develop CAD models of parts and assemblies from sketches and mark-ups, and understand system design from concept through detailing and release for production.
  • Technical Documentation: Create assembly drawings and Bills of Material from assembly models, prepare layouts/models based on design specifications, and create detailed drawings of parts based on the layout/model.
  • Quality Assurance: Calculate and verify that the design meets the specifications, provide detailed technical documentation to customers on design for manufacturability improvements, and design to cost goals and design for manufacturability and testability.
  • Manufacturing Support: Provide hands-on support of manufacturing floor through real-time defect investigation and rework/repair dispositioning to return non-conforming material to customer specifications.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred or related equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 4-6 years of electro-mechanical technician experience within a manufacturing environment required.
  • Skills: Basic knowledge of component and system design utilizing Solidworks and Pro-Engineer, knowledge of mechanisms, general knowledge of drawing standards, formatting, and dimensioning included basic GD&T, and ability to work in a team environment.

  • Works in an office environment.

  • Required to wear personal protective equipment.
Environmental Exposure
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment where applicable.
  • Subject to frequent interruptions.
  • Subject to hazards including electrical current, moving mechanical parts, exposure to chemicals and debris.
  • May involve exposure to moderate noise levels from printers, faxes, computers, etc.
