Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services. As a Geriatric Nursing Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction by delivering exceptional nursing care that meets their physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • To administer medications as ordered by physicians and maintain accurate records of medication administration.
  • To supervise and guide nursing assistants and orderlies to ensure efficient and effective delivery of patient care.
  • To assist physicians with rounds and provide support during physical examinations and treatments.
  • To perform treatments scheduled during shifts and document them accurately.
  • To adhere to all regulations related to cleanliness, infection control, and Standard/Universal Precautions.
  • To assist with research related to quality nursing care and participate in in-service training and staff meetings as required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A registered nurse license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing and be willing to renew it every other year.
  • A genuine interest in geriatric nursing and a commitment to delivering high-quality care to patients.
  • CPR certification and the ability to make decisions regarding nursing problems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with patients, families, doctors, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to supervise nursing assistants and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient delivery of patient care.
