Job Summary

As a Medical Assistant at St James Parish Hospital, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care. You will work closely with our healthcare team to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Escort patients to examination rooms and prepare them for examination by taking vital signs and documenting patient data.
  • Assist physicians with treatments and procedures as requested.
  • Monitor patients during and after procedures and respond to emergencies as needed.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following hospital policies and procedures.
  • Order supplies and maintain inventory to ensure that equipment and supplies are available when needed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care and reinforce physician instructions to enhance patient education.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant program (preferred)
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Computer literacy
Work Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts with occasional 12-hour weekday shifts and 8-hour weekend shifts.
