Salary and Benefits

About the Job

This ER Technician role provides direct patient care in the Emergency Room and functions as an assistant to medical providers and licensed nurses. The ideal candidate will have EMT-B, Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant experience with acute care experience.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and safety needs of patients
  • Assist with admission, discharge and transfer for patients on and off unit
  • Communicate effectively with patients, family members and hospital personnel
  • Maintain a safe unit environment, supplies and equipment to facilitate patient care
Requirements
  • High school diploma required
  • EMT-B, Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant experience with acute care experience preferred
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • Ability to read, write and speak English, and perform simple math calculations required
What We Offer
  • Part-time, 24 hours night shift, 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., must work weekends/holiday as scheduled
  • Training/orientation in the ED for 6-10 weeks
  • Dysrhythmia training course and must pass to maintain position
