Job Overview:
EdAdvance is currently seeking an Early Childhood Physical Therapist Specialist to join our team in Waterbury, Connecticut. As a key member of our division of Early Childhood & Family Programs, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of infants and toddlers with diverse abilities and their families.

Salary: The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description:
The Early Childhood Physical Therapist Specialist will work under the supervision of the Birth to Three Director to provide physical therapy services to infants and toddlers with diverse abilities and their families. Key responsibilities include:

Major Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-home visits and assessments to identify the physical and developmental needs of infants and toddlers with diverse abilities.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) in collaboration with families and other early childhood professionals.
  • Provide physical therapy services to infants and toddlers, including home visits and regional travel throughout Waterbury.
  • Work closely with families, caregivers, and other early childhood professionals to provide service coordination and support.
  • Collaborate with the Birth to Three team to ensure seamless transitions to preschool programming.
  • Participate in transdisciplinary team meetings to discuss case studies and share best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of services provided and progress made.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a CT DPH Licensed/Certified Physical Therapist degree, experience working with infants, toddlers, and families, and excellent organizational skills. Service coordination training is also highly desirable. A driver's license and auto insurance are required for this position.
