The Consulting Dietitian provides comprehensive nutrition care to patients on an as-needed basis, adhering to established standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement nutrition intervention plans in accordance with the Nutrition Care Process
- Provide personalized nutrition counseling for individuals and groups, tailoring teaching methods to meet patient learning needs
- Conduct patient nutrition assessments, considering age-specific, cultural, religious, and ethnic factors
- Establish treatment goals and refer patients for outpatient counseling, community, or home health services as necessary
- Ensure operational excellence by executing against Aramark standards and regulatory agency requirements, monitoring operations, and completing assessments and action plans to provide optimal nutrition care and meal service
- Collaborate with medical staff and food and nutrition services staff to ensure conformance to prescribed nutrition care orders
- Provide education on food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
- Document nutrition care plans in patient medical records, including assessment, diagnosis, plan, implementation, and progress towards goals
- Maintain clinical productivity standards and accurate record keeping of daily clinical activities
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with coursework accredited or approved by relevant nutrition and dietetics agencies
- Earn and maintain applicable certifications, registrations, licenses, credentials, and continuing education requirements
