Mid-Level Financial/Program Data Analyst

LMI is seeking a skilled professional to support a CBP PMO in the National Capital Region. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to delivering practical and efficient solutions to help our client keep U.S. borders safe and facilitate travel and trade.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis and visualization, with experience developing and applying analytic methodologies and principles. You will assist in resolving complex problems, analyzing acquisition data, and formulating recommendations. Additionally, you will design and develop materials, conduct research, and produce written deliverables.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and apply analytic methodologies and principles, including data mining, text analytics, business intelligence, modeling data, qualitative, quantitative, and data visualization, in support of ongoing initiatives.
  • Assist in resolving complex problems which require in-depth knowledge of analytic methodologies and principles.
  • Assist in analyzing acquisition data and formulate recommendations.
  • Design and develop materials, evaluating the effectiveness in accordance with stated Guidelines, Directives, Standard Operating Procedures, specifications, and models.
  • Assist in conducting research, data gathering and technical reviews. Produce written deliverables to include reports, spreadsheets, databases, formal process, mapping, technical design and system testing and implementation activities.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree and 6 or more years in data analysis/visualization.
  • Experience developing and applying analytic methodologies and principles, including data mining, text analytics, business intelligence, modeling data, qualitative, quantitative, and data visualization, in support of ongoing initiatives.
  • Have demonstrable data analysis experience and assist in the application of analytic techniques and provide recommendations for objective and strategic direction.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and effectively solve problems.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • A true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to pass a government background investigation, including financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance abuse, and employment verifications.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Active U.S. Customs and Border Protection background investigation is a significant plus.
  • Previous work formulating or executing CBP budgets.
  • Relevant certification(s) such as: CGFM, CDFM, PMP, CFCM, and / or CPCM.
