Hours: 8am-5pm or 7am-4pm

Location: 100% on-site in Carlsbad

Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be tasked with the following duties:

  • Designing and implementing new laboratory equipment including hood manifolds, reactors, rotavapors, and various tools.
  • Completing P&IDs for laboratory systems.
  • Coordinating safety evaluations and hazard assessments for designed systems, making necessary modifications to meet safety standards.
  • Constructing approved systems and conducting tests.
  • Enhancing distillation and reactor systems as required.
  • Gaining proficiency in repairing laboratory equipment such as GC, GC-MS, gloveboxes, hood systems, ovens, and distillation systems.
  • Leading hazard assessments (HARIET) and system revalidations with managerial support.
  • Updating operational work instructions.
  • Operating laboratory equipment as necessary, including distillation and gas cabinets.
  • Assisting in the compilation of safety statistics and addressing action items as required.
  • Supporting chemical inventory management and reconciliation.
  • Tracking safety statistics and preparing presentations.
