POSITION OVERVIEW:

The primary responsibility of this role is to prepare meals in accordance with the specified dietary requirements of residents, adhering to community protocols and food safety regulations, under the guidance of the Food Service Director. Additional tasks may be assigned by community representatives. Compliance with health, sanitation, and infection control policies is essential, along with maintaining the standards set by the community's administration and Dietary Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • A solid understanding of food safety and sanitation principles is required. Must comply with state-specific food handler training requirements.
  • Effective communication skills in English, with the ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Demonstrated capability to execute both verbal and written directives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Ability to collaborate with supervisors, colleagues, and community staff effectively.
  • Competence in observing proper safety and sanitation practices.
  • Flexibility to work scheduled hours based on the demands of the position.
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of others in the workplace.

Experience:

  • Prior experience in long-term care settings is preferred but not mandatory.

Shift and Compensation:

  • Available Positions: Full-Time and Part-Time
  • Shifts: Various shifts available
  • Compensation: $15.75-$17.00 per hour
