We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate RN Medical Surgical professional to join our team at Mark Twain Medical Center, a member of Dignity Health. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to our mission of delivering dignity, collaboration, justice, stewardship, and excellence in healthcare.
Responsibilities- Perform the nursing process through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of safe, therapeutic care for patients with overt and covert needs, appropriate to patient age.
- Assist with managing the patient care administered by other members of the nursing staff.
- Assume responsibility and accountability of total patient care and relief charge nurse duties.
- Provide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes, consult with other practitioners as required, and adjust nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
- Implement patient histories, assess patient's conditions, and develop individualized care plans for assigned patients.
- Assess patient educational needs and barriers to learning, implement patient education, and document teaching.
- Administer and control narcotics and medications accurately and in a timely manner, and sign out narcotics and medications according to hospital policy.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient's progress, nursing care, records, and reports.
- Current California RN license required.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Six (6) months or more of experience in acute care required.
- Able to do work in spite of frequent interruptions.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
$76.26 per hour. We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
