  • Individualized Education Programs (IEPs): Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with two paraprofessionals assigned to the classroom to ensure comprehensive support for students.
  • Classroom Environment: Create and maintain a positive, structured, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor and assess student progress, adapting instruction as needed to achieve educational goals.
  • Communication and Coordination: Work closely with parents, school staff, and other professionals to coordinate and enhance student support.
  • IEP Meetings: Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational and behavioral strategies.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Certification: Valid Texas Teaching Certification with an endorsement in Special Education.
  • Experience: Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
