Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing and merchandising the vitamin and health product department to maximize productivity and profit
  • Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the vitamin and health product team
  • Effectively coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through ongoing planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork
  • Lead a team that brainstorms to deliver the finest quality of product, highest level of service, and greatest experience for customers
  • Ensure customers receive the best possible service and assistance with vitamins, supplements, and health and beauty products
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of vitamins, supplements, and other health and body items in the department, providing guidance on supplements, health and beauty, and related products
  • Assist in recruiting, hiring, developing, mentoring, and motivating the vitamin and health product team
  • Unload and sort through store deliveries
  • Ensure execution of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations, and validate that other vitamin and health product team members are also aware of, and following, these procedures
Qualifications
  • At least 18 years of age and a minimum of 1 year of vitamin, homeopathy, or holistic experience with leadership duties; or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • Dependable and reliable, with the ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Outgoing and friendly behavior, with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to give and take direction while maintaining a team environment
  • Perform general housekeeping in the department, including cleaning and dusting
  • Adhere to all safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
  • Willing to gain education on new products and alternative health
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Ability to perform physical demands, including standing, walking, bending, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering heavy objects
