Position Overview
The Beverage Support Specialist is essential in delivering outstanding service to all guests at Chinook Winds Casino Resort. This role involves ensuring that all bar operations run smoothly by managing the transportation and delivery of beverages and supplies.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional service to all guests at the resort.
- Manage the restocking and transportation of beer, liquor, wine, mixers, and other bar essentials.
- Assist bartenders by maintaining cleanliness in the bar area, washing glassware, and stocking ice.
- Monitor and control product waste effectively.
- Comply with all regulations and policies regarding alcohol service.
- Deliver and transport beverage inventory to various service locations.
- Set up and dismantle portable bar systems for events and conventions.
- Support other staff members as needed.
- Perform all duties in alignment with the customer service standards of Chinook Winds Casino Resort.
- Provide guests with information about events, programs, and services offered at the resort.
- Offer suggestions for process improvements and service enhancements.
- Assist bartenders on the gaming floor as required.
- Complete other assigned tasks as necessary.
Qualifications
Applicants must be 21 years or older.
Skills and Competencies
Effective communication skills for verbal interactions.
Customer-focused approach to meet guests' needs while adhering to company policies.
Ability to work well with diverse personalities and individuals.
Experience
Preferred: One year of experience in a customer service role.
Licenses and Certifications
Must obtain a Siletz Tribal Gaming License.
Must possess an OLCC temporary permit before starting and obtain the OLCC Permit within 45 days of employment.
A Food Handlers Permit is required before starting, and a VIP (Visually Impaired Persons) Permit must be obtained within 45 days of the start date.
Additional Requirements
Knowledge of food preparation and service regulations.
Physical Requirements
- Constantly standing and walking.
- Frequent handling and reaching.
- Occasional crawling and kneeling.
- Frequent bending and squatting.
- Frequently lifting up to 20 lbs.
- Occasionally lifting 21-50 lbs.
The position is based in a dynamic gaming environment with potential distractions. The noise level may vary from moderate to loud, and exposure to smoke may occur.
Employment Conditions
Employment is contingent upon passing a pre-employment drug screening, a background check, and completing a 180-day introductory period.
Compensation
Salary: $23.40
