Nurse Manager with Children's Hospital at Dartmouth

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Manager to lead our Pediatric Unit at the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the unit, ensuring high-quality patient care, and fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, direct, and coordinate the operational, fiscal, and personnel activities of the Pediatric Unit.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes, safety, and satisfaction.
- Lead and manage a team of nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure excellent patient care and service.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
- Monitor and analyze unit performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and hospital policies.
- Develop and maintain a culture of safety, quality, and excellence within the unit.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of unit policies and procedures.
- Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) is required.
- Master's degree strongly preferred.
- Supervisory and/or management experience required.
- 5 years of progressive responsibility within an acute care setting required.
- Must obtain and maintain clinical competencies within assigned unit.
- Clinical or professional certification preferred.
