Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Treatment Nurse to join our team at The Healthcare Center at Buck Creek. As a Treatment Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to our residents, administering medications, and observing and recording their reactions to treatments.
Responsibilities- Administer prescribed medications, orally and by injections, in a safe and controlled environment.
- Provide treatments to residents per physician orders, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Observe and record residents' reactions to medications and treatments, reporting any changes or concerns to the supervisor and attending physician.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of medications and controlled substances, maintaining a safe and secure environment.
- Document all services provided, maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Provide education to residents and families regarding care, promoting informed decision-making and empowerment.
- Assist in planning, supervising, and instructing Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), ensuring positive outcomes for residents.
- Implement and maintain policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure safe work practices are utilized, promoting a culture of safety and well-being.
- Ensure proper infection control techniques are utilized, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
- Current license by the State Board of Nursing, as an R.N. or L.P.N.
- Ability to lead and motivate subordinates, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
- Ability to perform a variety of duties characterized by frequent change, adapting to changing work schedules and priorities.
- Able to work intimately with residents, physicians, and staff, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
- Capable of working to prescribe nursing standards, ensuring high-quality care and patient outcomes.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine interest in providing exceptional service.
