We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Animal Care Attendant to join our team at Destination Pet, LLC. As an Animal Care Attendant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our furry guests.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and maintain animal enclosures, including sanitizing and disinfecting surfaces and equipment.
- Supervise play groups and ensure the safety and well-being of animals during playtime.
- Provide clean bedding and fresh water to each pet guest, and ensure that each pet receives the correct type and quantity of food for each meal.
- Monitor and accurately chart consumption and elimination of each pet guest, and bring any problems to the attention of the General Manager or Assistant Manager.
- Visually check pet guests for safety and well-being throughout the day, and clean up pet excrement as needed.
- Maintain and clean food preparation areas, and perform daily laundering of pet bedding and towels.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in animal care or a related field preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask with ease.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
- A competitive hourly rate of $13-$15.
- A fun and dynamic work environment with a team of animal lovers.
