Key Responsibilities
- Gather patient medical history and conduct thorough assessments through observation, interviews, and examinations.
- Order, execute, and analyze diagnostic tests and procedures.
- Administer direct treatment and manage health conditions, utilizing prescriptive authority or referring patients to other healthcare professionals or community resources.
- Educate and counsel patients and their families regarding preventive health measures, treatment alternatives, and available community resources.
- May conduct preventive health evaluations, screenings, immunizations, and care as required.
- Ensure precise and timely documentation of patient assessments and care plans.
- May assist with patient registration tasks, including collecting and entering demographic, insurance, and payment information.
- May provide assistance in surgical settings.
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies is required upon hire OR
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field is required upon hire.
- No prior experience is necessary.
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of Kentucky is required upon hire AND
- NCCPA - National Physician Assistant certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants is required upon hire.
- Possesses critical thinking abilities and sound judgment.
