Whitestone Healthcare, LLC is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) specializing in Ophthalmology.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Starting wage of $32.50 per hour
- Weekly payment schedule
- Health insurance options available for full-time staff (minimum of 30 hours per week required)
Work Schedule:
- Full-time commitment of 40 hours per week, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Availability to work every other weekend is essential
Contract Duration: 13 weeks with the possibility of extension
Role Responsibilities:
As part of the DHS/LAC County healthcare team, the Licensed Vocational Nurse will provide exceptional care to patients with various retinal conditions. The LVN will support ophthalmologists and retina specialists during patient evaluations and medical procedures. Candidates who are bilingual in Spanish and possess clinical experience in ophthalmology, along with proficiency in ophthalmic diagnostic methods, are highly preferred.
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of a drug screening and fingerprinting process
- Minimum of one year of inpatient experience in Ophthalmology or Medical-Surgical nursing
Licensure and Certifications:
- Current and active Licensed Vocational Nurse license
- Valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification
- LA City Fire and Life Safety card (mandatory for LA City)
- Spanish language proficiency is preferred
- Current Tuberculosis (TB) screening (Chest X-ray required for positive TB results)
- Documentation of full COVID-19 vaccination and seasonal flu vaccination (medical and religious exemptions available)
