Mathematics Instructor

Sylvan Learning of West Richardson seeks an experienced Mathematics Instructor to join our team. As a part-time instructor, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education to students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade.

In this position, you will be responsible for teaching using Sylvan-based programs, supervising and motivating students during instruction hours, and evaluating student progress. Your expertise in upper-level math subjects such as calculus and algebra will be essential in helping students achieve academic success.

• Teach mathematics concepts to students in a small group setting (3:1 ratio)
• Supervise and interact with students during instruction hours
• Evaluate and document student progress
• Communicate with center directors regarding student needs

• Bachelor's Degree or higher required in a Science or Math field
• Advanced knowledge and familiarity with teaching or tutoring in upper-level math subjects (calculus, algebra 1 & 2, geometry, and trigonometry)
• Teaching or tutoring experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to multitask

• $15 per hour
