Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced English Language Instructor to join our team at the Boys & Girls Club. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing individualized and group English language lessons to our members, with a focus on oral and written fluency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to meet the needs of our members.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assess and track member progress, providing regular feedback and guidance.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in English language instruction and incorporate new ideas into your teaching.
  • Communicate effectively with members, colleagues, and supervisors to ensure a smooth and successful program.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in English Education or a related field from an accredited university.
  • 2+ years of experience as an English language instructor or teacher, with a strong preference for prior experience in Puerto Rico.
  • TEFL/TESOL certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
