Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our care team at University Hospital in Madison, WI. As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality and cost-effective care to patients with acute and chronic illnesses, specifically those undergoing stem cell transplant and cellular therapy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive health history and physical assessment of patients with acute health problems undergoing treatment, including allogeneic and autologous stem cell transplants, CAR T-cell and bispecific T-cell engager (BiTE) therapies.
  • Perform procedures required for disease evaluation and treatment, such as punch skin biopsy, bone marrow biopsies with/without conscious sedation, lumbar puncture, and intrathecal chemotherapy administration.
  • Work collaboratively with our care team to provide patient-centered care and achieve optimal outcomes.
Requirements
  • Master's or Doctorate's degree from an accredited Nursing Program (if Nurse Practitioner) or Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited PA Program (if Physician Assistant).
  • Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice (if Nurse Practitioner) or active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice (if Physician Assistant).
  • Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice (if Nurse Practitioner) or active PA board certification (if Physician Assistant).
  • Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.
