Job Title: Regional LPN

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Regional LPN to join our team at Windsor House Nursing & Rehab. As a Regional LPN, you will provide high-quality nursing care to residents in our skilled nursing and long-term care centers.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily nursing operations for a specific unit/wing, ensuring the highest level of care for residents.
  • Perform nursing techniques for the comfort and well-being of residents, including checking each resident daily to determine their status and ensuring they reach their highest attainable level of functioning.
  • Prepare equipment and assist physicians during their rounds, administering prescribed medications and providing treatments using therapeutic equipment.
  • Observe residents' reactions to medication and report any changes in their condition to the supervisor and attending physician.
  • Maintain residents' medical records by documenting, as required by policy.
  • Assist in planning, supervising, and instructing CNAs, assigning daily work assignments to ensure positive outcomes for residents.
  • Implement and maintain policies, ensuring safe work practices and proper infection control techniques.
  • Participate in the Continuous Quality Improvement Program and ensure follow-up occurs.
  • Report accurately to oncoming shift Charge LPNs regarding changes in resident status and follow-up needs.
  • Provide input for CNA performance, coaching, counseling, and disciplining as needed, ensuring personnel policies are followed.
  • Recommend staffing, equipment, and supply needs to the DNS.
  • Capture charges for supplies issued to residents on that unit.
  • Participate in care planning process and ensure the nursing component is implemented.
  • Ensure the rights of residents are respected, coordinating with other departments and ensuring residents are taken to activities, etc.
Qualifications:
  • Current, unrestricted license by the State Board of Nursing, as an LPN/LVN.
  • Ability to lead and motivate, with the ability to perform a variety of duties characterized by frequent change.
  • Able to work intimately with residents, physicians, and staff, with good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Valid drivers license and current auto insurance required.
