We are seeking an experienced and professional Pickleball instructor to help build our ever-growing pickleball program at 92nd Street Y. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong ability to deliver classes, private lessons, and workshops to the community.
Key Responsibilities:- Teaching and Curriculum Development: Teach pickleball classes, private lessons, and clinics for youth, teens, and adults, and develop curriculum to meet the needs of the community.
- Program Management: Manage the logistics of pickleball programs, including equipment ordering and maintenance, and ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all participants.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to patrons, including greeting them with a positive attitude and representing the 92nd Street Y Pickleball program in a professional manner.
- Marketing and Promotion: Support promotional events and social media campaigns to promote the pickleball program and attract new participants.
- Patron Support: Support patrons in understanding the rating system and achieving their goals in pickleball.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of 1 year of experience teaching groups of at least 4-8 people at one time.
- Certifications and Coursework: Appropriate certifications or coursework in pickleball instruction or a related field.
- Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
$50 - $65/hour, based on qualifications and experience.
