We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Sonographer to join our team at Stanford Health Care. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for conducting sonographic procedures on assigned patients using advanced ultrasound diagnostic equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct sonographic procedures on assigned patients, utilizing ultrasonic high frequency sound waves to detect abnormalities, including masses, abscesses, and stones.
- Operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment, observing sound wave patterns produced, and producing and processing diagnostic images for presentation to physicians.
- Ensure that ultrasound equipment and accessories are maintained and functioning, reporting any problems to the Lead Tech and supervisor.
- Explain examination processes to patients, instructing and assisting them throughout the procedure.
- Participate in maintaining records for research cases and participate as needed in the evaluation of new equipment for research or possible future use in the department.
- ARDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography certification.
- Ability to apply judgment and make informed decisions.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with diverse groups, including individuals at all levels within and outside the organization.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Ability to interpret physician instructions and patient medical and clinical records to determine the type of ultrasonic procedure/test to be performed.
- Competitive hourly rate, generally starting at $80.74 per hour.
