Key Responsibilities:
- Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures
- Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia as needed
- Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth surgical procedures
- Provide post-operative care to patients
- Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- Current CRNA licensure in the state of Iowa
- Experience working in a hospital-based setting
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends

Call Schedule:
We have a 12-week rotation schedule for our CRNAs, which includes a mix of day shifts and night shifts. New CRNA Locums will typically start on day shifts and will not be required to do in-house coverage for at least a month to three months. During this time, they will have the opportunity to get familiar with the department and the hospital's policies and procedures.
EMR and Equipment:
We use Cerner as our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and have a variety of equipment available to support our anesthesia services, including ventilators, monitors, and anesthesia machines.
Facility Information:
Our hospital is a Level 2 trauma center with 11 operating rooms and a 24/7 OR staffed with RNs and Certified Surgical Technologists (CSTs). We have a diverse patient demographic and a high volume of surgical cases, with an average of 15+ cases per day.
Travel and Accommodations:
We are willing to pay for full travel expenses and provide accommodations for our CRNAs.
