Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Executive Chef to join our corporate dining team at Thomas Management LLC. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of food preparation and service in our cafeteria.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare ingredients such as meats, cheeses, vegetables, and condiments for sandwiches, salads, soups, and other deli items
- Cook various food items, including grilled sandwiches, french fries, etc., using cooking equipment such as grills, ovens, fryers, and steamers
- Serve prepared food to customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Follow food safety guidelines and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment

Requirements

- Successful candidates must meet eligibility criteria, including the ability to undergo and successfully complete a criminal background check and drug screen
- Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Ability to provide documents for work authorization and obtain a state-approved food handlers card
- High school diploma or equivalent required

Physical and Sensory Requirements

- Requires mobility to stand and walk extensively during meal preparation and service
- Lifting boxes up to 25 pounds and pushing/pulling food hot boxes up to 50 pounds
- Bending and stooping for access to carts, food, trays, and other kitchen equipment
- Manual dexterity for use of kitchen utensils and tools
- Visual acuity for reading menus, labels, and directions
- Hearing ability to respond to verbal communications
- Exposure to hot and cold temperatures
- Taste and smell to assess food quality, freshness, and adherence to dietary requirements
