At StandardAero, we're seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you'll play a crucial role in defining, developing, and maintaining software applications that support our business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with internal users and departments to define software business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications.
- Work closely with the IT team to identify the best migration plan for various internal applications.
- Assist in defining software development project plans, including scoping, scheduling, and implementation.
- Research, identify, analyze, and fulfill requirements of all internal and external program users.
- Enhance functionality and/or performance of company applications as necessary.
- Generate statistics and write reports for management and/or team members on the status of the programming process.
- Post-Secondary Education in Computer Science or Business Information Systems.
- Good understanding of coding methods and best practices with proficiency in Oracle framework, tools, and database structures.
- Experience working with Pl/SQL features, Packages, Functions, and Procedures, SQL loader, SQL Scripts, Db links, and Oracle APEX.
- Some familiarity with Oracle Forms/Report 12c, Oracle ADF 12c, or Oracle Mobile Application is preferred.
- Understanding of other relational Database structures and integration tools.
- Work with Business Analyst, Project manager, and other IT leadership for system upgrades.
- Knowledge of other software tools: Microsoft packages, Source Control Repositories software, and Helpdesk ticket systems.
An individual in this capacity must be aware that the position will involve regular work schedule and some extended periods of time to complete project and provide customer support using helpdesk tickets. Must be willing to walk to various areas throughout the facility throughout the day.
