About the Role

As a Software Architect at Cove, you will play a pivotal role within our product and engineering division, significantly influencing the architecture and tools utilized in our software development. Your responsibilities will encompass the design, construction, and management of our software platform, ensuring an exceptional user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architecting, developing, and managing our SaaS platform.
  • Enhancing and scaling our platform to support growth in both customers and teams.
  • Leading technical initiatives and collaborating with developers and product managers across various teams.
  • Fostering an inclusive environment where developers feel empowered to make decisions and learn from their mistakes.
  • Participating in an on-call rotation for the platform team, with a focus on sensible practices.

Qualifications

  • Over 10 years of experience in software development.
  • In-depth knowledge of SaaS architecture design patterns.
  • Strong ability to communicate architectural concepts and designs effectively.
  • Experience in designing and scaling Event Driven Systems (e.g., SQS, Kafka, Rabbit MQ).
  • Familiarity with serverless architecture.
  • Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation).
  • Experience in performance testing within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Background in leading backend design for SaaS products or scaling existing solutions.
  • Expertise in designing and developing APIs, services, or microservices.
  • Experience in scaling backend infrastructure, including server management and deployment.
  • Interest in evolving and improving our technology stack.
  • Familiarity with AWS, MongoDB, Docker, GQL, TypeScript, React, React Native, Cypress, and Detox.
  • Experience working in a remote team environment, with a focus on constructive feedback.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Machine Learning.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices.
  • Experience in large data processing.
  • Familiarity with ETL, Data Warehousing, or Data Lakes.
  • Frontend development experience.
  • Mobile application development experience.
