Garver is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team in Alabama. This position will be responsible for leading a wide range of water business line planning, modeling, and design projects for our clients in the state.

  • Responsibilities will include managing distribution systems, including conveyance and network piping, pump stations, storage units, and reservoirs.
  • Collection systems, including interceptor, network, and outfall piping, pump stations, will also be managed.

The Project Manager will be part of a team led by a Senior Project Manager and will work closely with multi-discipline design engineers and CAD technicians to produce design phase deliverables, including reports, technical memoranda, design manuals, plans, sections, details, and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to work closely with clients to ensure quality deliverables are met efficiently.
  • Effective communication with internal and external clients, one-on-one, in groups, or in presentation settings.
  • Ability to lead a team of junior project engineers and CAD technicians to accomplish design, budget, and project requirements.
  • Desire to gain marketing and project management experience.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, biological, or environmental engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to gain within 6 months of hire.
  • 7 or more years of related water/wastewater design experience.
  • Familiarity with ADEM regulations.
  • Strong communications skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.

Preferred Skills:

  • WaterCAD, SewerCAD, or Civil3D experience.
  • Master's degree in civil or environmental engineering.
  • Design/build experience.
