About the Job

We are currently seeking an experienced Travel Nurse RN Transplant to join our team for a 26-week assignment in Phoenix, Arizona.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide specialized care and oversight to patients undergoing organ or tissue transplantation. As a Transplant Coordinator Registered Nurse (Transplant Coordinator RN), you will serve as a key point of contact for patients, ensuring comprehensive care, education, and coordination of all aspects of the transplant process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate potential transplant candidates to ensure they meet medical and clinical criteria for organ or tissue transplantation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including transplant surgeons, physicians, and social workers, to develop individualized care plans for transplant patients.
  • Educate patients and their families about the transplant process, including medical procedures, pre- and post-operative care, and long-term management.
  • Monitor patients' progress before and after transplantation, assessing for potential complications, infections, or rejection.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the organ/tissue donation and transplant process, working closely with organ procurement organizations (OPOs) and transplant centers.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of patient care, transplant evaluations, and outcomes to ensure compliance with regulatory and clinical standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Transplant Coordinator Certification (CCTC) preferred.
Estimated Salary

$115,000 per year, based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week, plus tax-free stipend.
