Overview

The S/L/A/M Collaborative is seeking a highly skilled Project Architect to join our Glastonbury, CT office.

Job Description

This role involves working closely with project teams in a collaborative studio environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent team leadership skills, strong management acumen, and the ability to develop and express concepts accurately and rapidly to meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project leads and internal teams to deliver projects efficiently.
  • Develop design concepts and communicate them effectively to clients and stakeholders.
  • Attend client meetings and provide support as needed.
  • Maintain positive relationships with colleagues and clients through effective communication.
  • Evaluate materials and consult with manufacturers as required.
  • Write architectural specifications and provide direction to junior staff members.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in education project types preferred.
  • Strong client and project management skills are essential.
  • Experience in space planning, design, multi-discipline team coordination, and leadership is required.
  • Technical proficiency in building construction, codes, and construction documents is necessary.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Licensure is mandatory.
