Certification Specialist III

Position Overview:
The Certification Specialist III is a critical member of our team, responsible for collaborating with internal stakeholders, installers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to design and execute large-scale certification programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive certification plans, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, including CFR and CS 21, 23, and 25.
- Utilize advanced knowledge of regulatory requirements to work independently with FAA/EASA designees, developing cert basis and certification plans.
- Interface with regulatory agencies to coordinate and obtain approvals, ensuring timely project completion.
- Liaise with airlines, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to maintain accurate certification records and ensure compliance.
- Develop tools and processes to track deliverables, testing, and compliance findings, ensuring on-time project completion.
- Provide risk management reviews and identify potential risks to ensure program success.
- Coordinate testing and adherence to schedules to support final certification.
- Aid in developing standardized certification procedures and train new engineers in compliance findings.
- Support quoting and work scope for new business and forecast capacity needs.
- Approve TSO/ETSO compliance documents.
Requirements:
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering, with at least 6 years' experience in aircraft interior products or a Master's degree in Engineering with at least 4 years' experience in aircraft interior products.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Aircraft interior certification experience in TSO/ETSO product testing is essential.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to establish and maintain schedules from multiple suppliers or projects.
- Risk management skills, with the ability to review current issues and identify potential risks.
- Exceptional organizational skills, self-motivation, and attention to detail are required.
- Ability to work within or lead teams when required.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
- Ability to work independently and track multiple projects is essential.
- Experience in CATIA V4 or V5 or a similar program is preferred.
- Experience in MS OFFICE products is a must.
- Experience in using matrix parts lists with high variant diversity in SAP is desired.
