Caregiver - Long Term Care Specialist (Afternoons) in Windsor, VT

Historic Homes of Runnemede is a not-for-profit group of historic homes dedicated to providing care and comfort to seniors in a home-like environment. Our campus consists of three historic buildings, all located in the heart of downtown Windsor, Vermont.
About UsWe provide Level III Residential Care Nursing, which means we offer nursing oversight and assistance with medication management. However, we do not provide full-time nursing care. Each house has private rooms with bathrooms, laundry facilities, freshly cooked meals, and assistance with general personal needs.
We accept private pay as well as Medicaid. A Registered Nurse Administrator is on duty Monday through Friday, and a Registered Nurse is available after hours, on weekends, and holidays. Personal Care Attendants are also on duty 24/7 to assist with administering medication as ordered.
Candidates for residency must be under the care of a primary medical provider and meet specific health standards. Applications for residency are kept on file and potential residents are notified when an appropriate room becomes available.
The RoleWe are seeking a skilled Caregiver to join our team at The Cox House. This position requires a minimum of 3 years recent experience, CERNER EMR experience, and the ability to work independently. Travel experience is preferred, and candidates must have their own vehicle.
This role involves delivering basic nursing and restorative care within the facility's policies and procedures, under the supervision of LPNs and RNs. Key responsibilities include attending report, keeping licensed personnel informed, assisting residents with personal hygiene, ambulation, and movement, and maintaining resident confidentiality and privacy.
A successful candidate will be able to work independently, hit the ground running, and demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will also be required to participate in ongoing training and education to maintain certification requirements and state license requirements.

Additional Requirements:
Candidates must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and be willing to work every other weekend and holidays if needed. It is essential to note that local travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this need.
