Job Summary:
Huntington Hospital is seeking a skilled Cardiac Monitoring Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Unit, you will be responsible for monitoring patients' rhythm and heart rate, and reporting relevant changes to the assigned nursing staff.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor up to 48 patients via telemetric equipment and respond to alarms identifying potentially life-threatening rhythm changes.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to provide high-quality patient care and ensure timely interventions.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest cardiac monitoring techniques and technologies.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an approved arrhythmia or EKG interpretation class preferred.
- Experience in telemetry services and arrhythmia interpretation; prior telemonitoring experience a plus.
- Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiology Life Support Provider (ACLS) and National Telemetry Certification a plus.
Work Environment:
This is a per diem position working 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced hospital environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Compensation:
Anticipated base compensation rate is in the range of $26.60 - $31.03 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
