Key Duties:

  • Compile and prepare workpapers while posting necessary journal entries.
  • Transfer working trial balances into the firm's engagement software efficiently.

  • Prepare tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities.
  • Support senior team members or partners with special projects or assignments as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Strong time management capabilities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel being advantageous.
  • Familiarity with CCH Engagement or Lacerte tax software is a plus.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to adhere to deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting is mandatory; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam or hold CPA certification is essential.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience or internships in public accounting, focusing on audit or tax work, is advantageous.
