Merchandise Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Merchandise Associate to join our team at TJX Companies, Inc. As a Merchandise Associate, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience by engaging with customers, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and adhering to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards.

• Customer Service: Role model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers, embodying customer experience principles and philosophy.
• Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, adhering to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards.
• Merchandise Handling: Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures and standards.
• Inventory Management: Participate in the maintenance/cleanliness of the entire store, including the sales floor, stockroom, and backroom areas.
• Teamwork: Work effectively with peers and supervisors to achieve business objectives and support the needs of the business.

• Customer Service Skills: Possess excellent customer service skills, with the ability to engage with customers and provide a positive shopping experience.
• Communication Skills: Possess strong communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
• Adaptability: Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs, with the ability to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
• Physical Demands: Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
